The Sara Goodwin Memorial Foundation partners with charitable organizations committed to enhancing the futures of underprivileged children around the world. It is the dream of the Foundation to reach out to as many places as possible and by joining forces with national and global charities this dream can become more of a reality.
The Foundation currently partners with SOS Children’s Villages-USA, a global organization founded in 1949 to assist children orphaned in WWII. SOS-USA has grown and now has 450 villages in over 132 countries and territories around the globe. The organization provides programs, counseling, education and training to children and young adults who are no longer able to live in a loving and stable home environment.

The Foundation is also dedicated to helping children in the local community. By establishing partnerships with a local Myrtle Beach charity, the organization is capable of providing care and support to families in its own backyard. The Foundation partners with SOS-Healthcare, an association that was founded 17 years ago by Dr. Bill Davis to address the needs of the most vulnerable families in Horry County. Since its inception in 1990, the charity has continued to evolve and is now dedicating its efforts to the research and development of children with autism.
SOS Health and Wellness now handles the responsibilities of providing minor medical care for families in need. The organization offers treatment for minor injuries and illnesses, referral services for major ailments, education for chronic illnesses, and teaches precautionary health measures to Horry County’s less fortunate families.
The third local association that the Foundation has joined forces with is SOS Caring 4 Kids. This establishment dedicates its efforts to ensuring the health and well being of disadvantaged children in Horry County. It provides medical attention, education, and support to the most destitute families in the Myrtle Beach area.
